Everything was so bright. Drew fucking hated the light.

She closed her eyes as the pain overcame her body and ceased altogether.

Her smouldering corpse hit the cold, cold snow.

Drew didn't ever think she'd die a hero. And in all truth she died nothing of the sort.

She didn't even have the finality to think those last thoughts. She didn't have the finality to think of her friends, her mother, her partner. Nothing.
